THE CONFERENCE

Theme - One Planet, One Health – Connecting Humans, Animals and Environment for Global Harmony
One Health is an approach in designing and implementing programmes, policies, legislation and research in which multiple sectors communicate and work together to achieve better public health outcomes.
One health approach is critical to promote risk-reducing habits and attitudes, and to support early detection and containment of disease threats in the animal-human-environment interface. There is a requirement of Government officials, researchers, academicians and workers across sectors at the local, national, regional and global levels to implement joint responses to these health threats.
The areas of work in which One Health approach is particularly relevant include:

  • Food and water safety
  • Emerging and re-emerging diseases
  • Anti-microbial Resistance
  • Environmental sector
  • Nutrition
  • Control of zoonoses

Our conference will provide public health specialists from across the country a platform to share their ideas and experiences and collaborate towards a global harmony.
